Earlier this year, the Tucson Unified School District decided to dissolve its Mexican-American Studies program, and, with it, several books that had been part of the curriculum. On the list of banned titles was our very own Critical Race Theory—just as it was being released for its second edition!

In a turn of awesome people doing awesome things, Colorado College Feminist and Gender Studies professor, Heidi Lewis—in response to the Arizona school district’s decision, and in solidarity with the students who resisted the ban—posted this video of her reading from Critical Race Theory. Which we’re reposting here for your Banned Books Week viewing pleasure.
